The following guide will show you how to enable your TiVo to automatically download the SABC news weather maps (http://www.sabcnews.com/weather/synoptic_charts/) and display them on your TV screen.

To install the weather map viewer on your TiVo, connect to your TiVo using telnet and type the following:

 cd /hack
 wget http://tivoza.nanfo.com/downloads/Viewer.tgz
 tar -xzf Viewer.tgz
 reboot

Once your TiVo has rebooted you'll now be able download and display the latest weather maps by pressing "Clear, Pause, Clear" on your TiVo remote. The maps will loop continuously between the maximum & minimum temperatures as well as the rain forecast. You can exit the weather map view at any time by pressing any key on your TiVo remote. The key that is pressed will still be handled by your TiVo so to be on the safe side it's best to exit the weather map view by pressing the "Clear" button.

One last thing to note is that the 'Viewer.tgz' file will overwrite your '/hack/etc/trickey.conf' file so if you have made any custom changes to the file you may want to back them up an reapply them after performing the install above.
